A guide to frame measurements
Finding your perfect frame size is easy
Torga has an easy way for you to choose a well-fitting frame online. All you need is either a pair of glasses that fits you well, or a ruler.
Option 1
Use an existing pair of glasses
- Start with glasses that fit you wellA pair that fits you well is a good starting point.
- Find the numbersYour glasses probably have their size printed on the inside of the temple arm, for example 42-20-145, or 42 □ 20 - 145.
- Read themThe first number is the eye width (usually between 38 and 54). The second is the nose bridge width (usually between 18 and 22). The last is the temple arm length (usually between 130 and 140).
This is how the measurements relate to the size of your glasses:

Usually the most important measurement for your frame size is the first number, the eye width. Use this number when you search for frames.
Option 2
Measure yourself with a ruler
Three simple steps and a ruler give you an idea of whether small, medium or large frames will suit you.
- Hold the ruler across your faceHold your ruler horizontally across your face, just below your eyes.
- MeasureMeasure the distance between your temples, in millimetres.
- Check the sizing guideUse the guide below to see whether you need a small, medium or large frame width.

Your nose bridge
Understanding your nose bridge size
What it is
The nose bridge is the upper part of your nose, between your eyes. Many Torga frames come in a small, medium or wide bridge size.
Which suits you
A narrow bridge usually fits a smaller face and a narrower nose bridge comfortably, and a wider bridge usually fits a larger face or a wider nose bridge. If your glasses slide down or pinch at the nose, the bridge size may be the reason.
Final steps
Compare, then choose
Browse our latest collection of frames and find the Torga style you like. Compare your measurements with the measurements of the frame, and order your pair.
When you compare your current glasses with the Torga frames on our website, you have a leeway of 2 to 3 mm on each measurement. On the bridge, keep to a leeway of just 2 mm.
