Optometrist · B.Optom (University of Johannesburg)
I graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of Johannesburg in 2004 and began my career in 2005. What drew me to optometry then still inspires me today: the remarkable diversity of people and visual needs I encounter every day.
I believe that every patient brings more than just a pair of eyes into my consulting room. Each person has a unique lifestyle, visual demands and story that deserve to be understood.
I particularly enjoy the challenge of multifocal prescribing, carefully matching lens designs to the demands of everyday life. Complex contact lens fittings, from high prescriptions to rigid gas permeable lenses for keratoconus and other corneal conditions, continually fuel my curiosity and passion for clinical precision.
Working with children brings its own rewards, particularly through myopia management and the opportunity to protect their future vision. Equally rewarding are my older patients, whose wisdom, stories and pride in their families remind me how deeply vision influences quality of life.
For me, optometry is where clinical accuracy meets genuine human connection. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualised care that respects not only how people see, but how they live.
